  • Proof of Financial Resources.

    When applying for a Swedish student visa (officially known as a Residence Permit for Studies). The student must demonstrate that they have adequate funds to cover both their tuition fees and living expenses whilst they undertake their degree. Monthly Living Expense Requirement: SEK 8,568 (approximately INR 67,000) Yearly Requirement: SEK 102,816 (approximately INR 804,000) for a one-year program. The funds must be available in a personal or joint account with a spouse only, maintained for 3~6 months; third-party accounts (such as parents or relatives) are not acceptable. Students are advised to maintain funds in the higher range.

  • Visa Application Fee.

    The Sweden student visa (residence permit for studies) costs SEK 1,500, which is non-refundable. This fee must be paid online at the time of submitting your application.

  • Work Rights During & After Studies!

    If you are a non-EU/EEA student, you are allowed to work part-time while studying—there is no fixed limit on working hours, as long as it does not affect your academic progress. After completing your studies, you can extend your residence permit for an additional 12 months to look for jobs or start your own business in Sweden.

A student with relevant university credits may earn around SEK 28,000 per month in part-time work. Additionally, university students in Sweden may be eligible for government grants and loans based on study load: o Full-time students: approx. SEK 2,263/week (grant) or up to SEK 3,375/week (grant + loan) o Part-time students: receive proportionally adjusted amounts.
